APD Daily Report 07/11/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 115 calls for service and arrested 17 people.


Theft of Bicycle – 201300003213 – 200 block of Lockwood Ct – 07/09 at 9:30pm to 07/10 at 11am:  A black men’s mountain bicycle with disc brakes was stolen.  The bicycle had been secured to the residence’s downspout with a cable lock which was severed to steal the bike.

Motor Vehicle Tampering – 201300003216 – 600 block of Greenbriar La – 07/09 at 4pm to 07/10 at 11am:  An apparently unlocked vehicle was ransacked, but nothing appeared to have been taken.

Armed Robbery – 201300003234 – 700 block of Americana Dr – 07/11 at 12:50am:  Two women were walking from the parking lot to an apartment building when two men ran up to them, one of them had a handgun.  The men demanded money and both women handed over their purses.  The men got into a vehicle driven by a third subject and left the area.  The women drove to the police department to report the robbery.  Officers checked the area but did not locate the suspects. 

Motor Vehicle Tampering – 201300003236 – 100 block of Green St – 07/11 at 4am:  A citizen saw a subject trying to gain entry to a vehicle, he shouted at the subject and called the police.  The subject ran off before officers arrived.  The vehicle’s door lock was damaged by the subject, but entry to the vehicle was not gained. 

Explorer Open House
Annapolis Police Department is holding an open house for our Explorer program on Tuesday, July 16 from 6:30pm to 8pm at 199 Taylor Av.  Young people in middle school and high school are welcome to attend.  Please bring a parent to attend the meeting with you.  Contact Sgt.
