APD Daily Report 08/04/14
In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 327 calls for service and arrested 37 people.
Good News – On 08/02 Detectives arrested Albert Gross, 20, a 14 year old male, and a 12 year old male, all from Annapolis for their involvement in the two robberies that occurred on 07/21 in the unit block of Franklin St.
On 08/03 Officers recovered a bicycle stolen on 07/23 from the 700 block of Pearson Point and returned it to the owner. A 14 year old male from Annapolis was charged on a juvenile citation with the theft.
Theft from Vehicle – 201400003808 – 1000 block of Blackwell Rd – 07/28 at 3pm to 07/29 at 8am: A brown leather wallet and a TomTom GPS unit were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Theft from Vehicle – 201400003872 – 100 block of Lafayette Av – 07/28 at 8pm to 07/31 at 7pm: A gold Apple iPhone 5S in a grey and white Lifeproof case was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle.
Burglary – 201400003882 – 1000 block of Kensington Way – 08/01 from 9pm to 11:15pm: An unlocked ground floor window was entered and an X-Box game console, Sony PlayStation 3 game console, and several video games were stolen.
Burglary – 201400003887 – 200 block of Admiral Dr – 08/01 at 10:45pm to 08/02 at 10:45am: An unlocked ground floor window was entered and two pairs of size 12 Nike Lebron XI Elites basket ball shoes, one pair of size 12 Nike KD VI Elite basketball shoes, and keys to a BMW were stolen. The BMW was also stolen. The owner found the BMW parked and unoccupied in the 1900 block of Gibralter Av.
Theft of Bicycle – 201400003893 – Unit block of Thompson St – 07/18 at 9am to 07/30 at 2pm: A black and grey Specialized Hardrock bicycle with a yellow water bottle cage was stolen from an unlocked shed.
Theft of Motor Scooter – 201400003919 – 200 block of Garden Gate La – 08/03 at 9pm to 08/04 at 4am: A blue and white 2010 Flyscooter Pico 50, an orange helmet, night riding glasses, and dark goggles were stolen from the rear patio of a home. The locked gate to the fence surrounding the backyard was forced open.
Watch Your Bike Program – Now Register Online!
In July, 21 bicycles were reported stolen in Annapolis. The Annapolis Police Department has a Watch Your Bike program. No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
The Annapolis Police Department will not be conducting citizen fingerprinting in August. Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, September 8 at 5pm.
