APD Daily Report 07/30/14

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 97 calls for service and arrested 9 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400003798 – Unit block of Landings Ct – 07/27 at 9pm to 07/28 at 11am:  Money was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. 

Burglary – 201400003811 – 700 block of Pearson Pt – 07/27 from 1:30pm to 2:30pm:  A red women’s beach style bicycle with curved chrome handlebars was stolen from an open garage. 

Watch Your Bike Program
So far in July, there have been 19 bicycles reported stolen in Annapolis.  The Annapolis Police Department has a Watch Your Bike program.  The program records your bicycle's serial number, manufacturer, and color in our database.  Annapolis residents can contact Cpl. Craig Medley at 410-268-9000 ext. 7225 or cemedley@annapolis.gov for more information.  Neighborhood associations can contact Cpl. Medley if they want to hold a community registration.

Green Dot MoneyPak Scams
Watch out for Green Dot MoneyPak scams. Recently an Annapolis business was scammed by a caller asking for payment for utility bills by Green Dot MoneyPak cards. National Night Out 2014
Mark your calendars for National Night Out 2014.  It will be held on Tuesday, August 5 from 5pm to 8pm at the Annapolis Walk Community Park at 1701 Belle Drive.  You are invited to join millions nationwide for America’s Night Out against crime!  Help build a stronger, safer community by joining forces and participating in National Night Out.  Please come and join the fun!  There will be a moonbounce, obstacle course, poster contest, K-9 demonstration, honor guard presentation, identification cards for children, food and refreshments, and much more!  Please contact Patti Norris at 410-268-9000 ext 7251 or e-mail pmnorris@annapolis.gov for more information.

No Citizen Fingerprinting in August
The Annapolis Police Department will not be conducting citizen fingerprinting in August.  Citizen fingerprinting will resume Monday, September 8 at 5pm.
