In the last 96 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 463 calls for service and arrested 28 people.
Theft from Vehicle – 201400003300 – Unit block of Edelmar Dr – 07/01 at 8pm to 07/02 at 10am: The registration card was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
Attempted Robbery – 201400003349 – Middle St near Vincent St – 07/05 at 12:23pm: A cab driver was flagged down on West St by a boy who requested a ride to Bywater. While inside the cab the boy punched the cab driver in the head and demanded money. The cab driver stopped the cab and hit the automatic door opener to open the rear passenger door. After the cab driver said he was calling the police the boy jumped out of the cab and fled on foot up Vincent St towards Parole St.
Theft from Vehicle – 201400003357 – 600 block of Taylor Av – 07/06 at 5:49am: A pair of black sunglasses, a black Apple iPhone, and a black wallet were stolen from a vehicle left with the passenger door open. The vehicle owner left the vehicle to buy a cup of coffee and when he returned he saw a man taking the items. The owner chased the man to the unit block of Annapolis St where he lost sight of him.
Stolen Vehicle – 201400003361 – 200 block of Farragut Ct – 07/05 at 8:30pm to 07/06 at 10am: A white 2005 Chevrolet Express 1500 van, MD reg. 2AG0033, was stolen when it was left unlocked with the keys inside. The van has a single extension ladder secured to the roof, small blue and white El Salvador flag stickers on each side, and a sticker reading “El Salvador” on the rear of the van.
