APD Daily Report 06/26/14

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 113 calls for service and arrested 22 people.

Burglary – 201400003153 – 1900 block of Drew St – 06/24 at 5pm to 06/25 at 6:15am:  An orange and black gas powered Echo weed trimmer was stolen from an unlocked shed.

Attempted Theft from Vehicle – 201400003154 – 600 block of Burnside St – 06/24 at 6pm to 06/25 at 7am:  An unlocked vehicle was entered, but nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400003155 – 600 block of Chesapeake Av – 06/25 from 5:30am to 9:30am:  A black Nixon Player watch was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.  Another vehicle was entered, but nothing was stolen from it.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400003161 – 800 block of Bay Ridge Av – 06/24 at 11pm to 06/25 at 8am:  A blue lady’s wallet was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Watch Your Bike Program
There were 21 bicycles stolen in Annapolis in May.  The Annapolis Police Department has a Watch Your Bike program.  The program records your bicycle's serial number, manufacturer, and color in our database.  Annapolis residents can contact Cpl. Craig Medley at 410-268-9000 ext. 7225 or cemedley@annapolis.gov for more information.  Neighborhood associations can contact Cpl. Medley if they want to hold a community registration.

National Night Out 2014
Mark your calendars for National Night Out 2014.  It will be held on Tuesday, August 5 from 5pm to 8pm at the Annapolis Walk Community Park at 1701 Belle Drive.  You are invited to join millions nationwide for America’s Night Out against crime!  Help build a stronger, safer community by joining forces and participating in National Night Out.  Please come and join the fun!  There will be a moonbounce, obstacle course, poster contest, K-9 demonstration, honor guard presentation, identification cards for children, food and refreshments, and much more!  Please contact Patti Norris at 410-268-9000 ext 7251 or e-mail pmnorris@annapolis.gov for more information.
