Theft from Vehicle – 201400003121 – 200 block of N. Linden Av – 06/23 at 10:30pm: An observant citizen saw four boys inside his neighbor’s unlocked vehicle. The boys fled when they saw the citizen and after the citizen contacted the owner of the vehicle the police were called. Officers were able to locate one 16 year old boy from Annapolis near West St and Brown St. When officers approached him he fled on foot dropping a Coach wallet and clutch purse. Officers caught him and he was identified by the citizen as one of the boys inside his neighbor’s vehicle. Nothing was stolen from that vehicle, but the Coach wallet and purse the boy dropped were stolen from another unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of N. Linden Av. The boy told police that he and his friends went out to check for unlocked vehicles to steal from. The boy was charged with theft under $100 and rogue and vagabond. He was released to his guardian. The same boy was previously charged with a theft from an unlocked vehicle that occurred in April in the 600 block of Genessee St. Other thefts from vehicles may have occurred in the 100 block of Monticello Av, the unit block of Spa View Circle, and the 200 block of King George St overnight. Please call 410-268-4141 to report a theft from vehicle.
