Pedestrians, Walk Smart! Drivers, Do your Part!
With the recent warm weather there are more people out walking and running in Annapolis. The Annapolis Police Department reminds pedestrians and drivers alike to be careful, responsible, and watch out for one another. A pedestrian can be as easily distracted by using a cell phone as a driver. Pedestrians should cross the road at a crosswalk or at an intersection. Drivers should come to a complete stop at the intersection stop line, and stop for pedestrians who are in a crosswalk, even if it is unmarked. For more information about pedestrian safety visit the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration’s Pedestrian Safety webpage at http://www.sha.maryland.gov/index.aspx?pageid=376.
