APD Daily Report 03/05/14

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 100 calls for service and arrested 20 people.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 201400001068 – Rt 665 near Godspeed Way – 03/04 at 7:52pm:  Officers from the Annapolis Police Department located a stolen 2008 Acura TL operating on Maryland Route 665 near Godspeed Way.  The vehicle was stolen from Anne Arundel County.  Officers attempted to stop the Acura on Interstate 97 just beyond Maryland Route 50, but the vehicle did not stop.  At I-97 and the Maryland Route 3 overpass the driver of the Acura lost control and the vehicle spun and came to a stop.  The occupants fled the vehicle on foot.  Officers from the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Police Departments located the occupants in the area and they were placed under arrest.  Jerome Alexander, 22, of Annapolis, Rodell Pinckney, 19, of Annapolis, and a 17 year old male from Annapolis were arrested and charged with the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle.  Jerome and Pinckney were released by the District Court Commissioner on these charges.  Pinckney was also served with an arrest warrant from Anne Arundel County Police, he is being held on $250,000 at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on that warrant.  The juvenile was served with a juvenile citation and released to his guardian.
