APD Daily Report 01/21/14

In the last 96 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 390 calls for service and arrested 39 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000264 – 1000 block of Tallwood Rd – 01/14 at 10pm to 01/15 at 8:45am:  Prescription medication and a Nintendo DS portable game system were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. 

Burglary – 201400000270 – 1300 block of Stonecreek Rd – 01/17 from 8:30am to 8:45pm:  The front door was forced open and money taken from the home.

Burglary – 201400000280 – Unit block of Boxwood Rd – 01/18 from 11:45am to 2:25pm:  An Apple MacBook Pro laptop computer, an Apple iPad Mini, a black and grey men’s GT mountain bicycle, a black Nike book bag, and a 16” Toshiba laptop computer were stolen from a residence.  A ground floor window may have been left unlocked.

Stolen and Recovered Vehicle – 201400000291 – Unit block of Locust Av – 01/18 at 5pm to 01/19 at 10:15am:  A black 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer was stolen from the driveway of a residence.  A spare key was kept inside the vehicle and it was apparently left unlocked.  The vehicle was equipped with OnStar and officers were able to locate the vehicle parked and unoccupied on Northwest St near West Washington St.  The spare key to the vehicle was not recovered.

Theft from Vehicle – 201400000303 – Unit block of Devon Ct – 01/19 at 10pm to 01/20 at 11am:  Money, gift certificates, two fleece jackets, one white and the other aqua, and a teal shirt were stolen from an unlocked vehicle. 

Armed Robbery/Shooting – 201400000316 – Unit block of Silopanna Rd – 01/20 at 10pm:  A 32 year old man from Harwood was walking on the footbridge in the area when he was approached by two men.  One of the men pointed a firearm at him and demanded the victim’s belongings.  The other man displayed a knife to the victim.  The victim fought with the subject with a knife when he heard the gun go off and was shot.  The victim was shot multiple times and transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma for treatment.  The victim’s injuries are not considered life threatening.  If you have information about this shooting please contact Detective Michael Prout at 410-268-9000 ext. 7209 or msprout@annapolis.gov

Shooting – 201400000317 – 900 block of President St – 01/21 at 12:53am:  A 36 year old man from Philadelphia was shot multiple times outside an apartment building.  He was transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma for treatment.  If you have any information about this shooting please contact Detective John Murphy at 410-268-9000 ext. 7268 or jhmurphy@annapolis.gov.
