In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 86 calls for service and arrested 9 people.
Robbery – 201400000232 – 1900 block of West St – 01/15 at 9:35pm: John Raffo, 54, of Annapolis was arrested for robbery and theft less than $1,000 after he took a purse from a woman he knows. The woman was meeting with Raffo when he threatened her and her dogs and pushed her, then he took the purse from her shoulder. Raffo walked away with the purse and the woman ran for help. Officers located Raffo with the purse behind a business in the area. Raffo is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $50,000 bond.
Stolen Vehicle – 201400000234 – 1000 block of Tallwood Rd – 01/16 at 12:45am: The owner heard her vehicle engine start and looked out the window to see a man driving off in it. The vehicle taken is a white 2009 Jaguar XF four door sedan with Virginia registration U LOKN on a Florida Gator specialty plate. The vehicle has black tinted tail lamps, dark tinted windows, aftermarket exhaust, and Jaguar written in white on both rear tires. The vehicle was left unlocked with a key inside.
Annapolis Police Department is not offering citizen fingerprinting on Monday, January 20 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
