APD Daily Report 01/03/14

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 66 calls for service and arrested 5 people.

Auto Theft – 201400000024 – 600 block of Greenbriar La – 01/02 from 7:20am to 7:30am:  A blue 1998 Ford Explorer two door SUV, MD reg. 386M799, was stolen from the driveway of a home.  The owner reported that he left the keys in the ignition with the engine running to warm the vehicle up, but had shut off the vehicle and removed the keys when the theft occurred.

Stabbing – 201400000035 – Eastport Bridge – 01/02 at 7:30pm:  At 8:40pm Anne Arundel Medical Center contacted the police department about a patient suffering from superficial stab wounds to the abdomen.  Detectives responded to the hospital to meet with the adult male victim.  The victim initially told them that he was injured after falling on a sharp object, but later said that he and a group of friends were walking in the area of the Eastport Bridge when they encountered another group walking towards them.  The two groups exchanged words and neither group gave ground when they passed each other.  After the groups passed the victim realized he had been stabbed. 

Auto Theft – 201400000037 – 1100 block of Primrose Ct – 01/02 from 8:30pm to 10pm:  A black 2007 Toyota Tundra pick up truck, MD reg. 9AH2893, with a black tool box in the rear bed of the truck was stolen from the parking lot.  The victim said he left the key to the vehicle inside the door to the gas tank.
