APD Daily Report 12/23/13
In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 249 calls for service and arrested 24 people.
Good News – On 12/23 officers recovered a vehicle stolen from a home in Anne Arundel County. At 12:07am officers received a call for a hit and run accident involving a green Chevrolet Suburban on Madison Ct near Madison St. Officers located the vehicle on West St near Church Circle and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle did not stop, but continued at normal speeds until all occupants bailed out in the area of Granada Av near Chase St. Officers were able to locate the driver, who was a seventeen year old boy. He was charged with multiple traffic offenses and theft and released to a guardian. The vehicle was stolen after a home was broken into, another vehicle was also stolen at the same time.
Robbery – 201300006234 – 200 block of Windell Av – 12/21 at 5:30pm: The adult male victim was walking on the footpath when he was approached by two adult male subjects. One of the men put his index finger up to the victim’s head and asked for money. The victim threw money on the ground, but the man asked for more. The man tried to punch the victim and then both men walked away.
Theft from Vehicle – 201300006241 – 1800 block of Glade Ct – 12/21 at 11:50pm: An observant citizen called police after seeing two men in a neighbor’s apparently unlocked vehicle. The men took money and fled on foot. Officers could not locate the men.
Thefts from Vehicles – 201300006244 – Unit block of Beacon Ct – 12/21 at 10pm to 12/22 at 2am: A Bluetooth device, a black leather purse with a gold colored letter T on the front, a black Juicy Couture wallet, a Garmin GPS unit, Bose headphones, money, and a Luminox watch with steel band and case were stolen from two unlocked vehicles. It appeared other unlocked vehicles in the area had also been entered, but nothing taken.
Stolen Vehicle – 201300006245 – 1900 block of Copeland St – 12/22 from 12:01am to 4:10am: A black 2006 Lincoln Continental Mark V pick up truck, MD reg. 11X190, was stolen.
