APD Daily Report 11/12/13

In the last 96 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 354 calls for service and arrested 33 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300005399 – Unit block of South Cherry Grove Av – 11/02 at 5pm to 11/03 at 7am:  The registration and insurance cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Accidental Shooting – 201300005461 – 700 block of Newtowne Dr – 11/08 at 10:30pm:  Officers were in the area when they were approached by a 15 year old boy from Baltimore.  The boy said he was injured and then later admitted that he accidentally shot himself in the leg while trying to remove a handgun from his waistband.  The boy was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.  The gun has not been recovered.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle – 201300005466 – 900 block of West St – 11/09 at 2:11am:  A blue Nissan Pathfinder which was left with the key in the ignition and the doors unlocked was stolen.  On 11/10 at 12:30am officers located the Nissan in the 500 block of South Cherry Grove Av.  Two 15 year old boys were in the vehicle when it was recovered.  The boys were arrested and charged on juvenile citations with auto theft, both were released to their guardians.

Burglary – 201300005490 – Unit block of West St – 11/10 from 1pm to 6:30pm:  Officers responded to an intrusion alarm at a business and found that the door to the business had been forced open.  Nothing was reported stolen from the business.  A door to another business in the same building had pry marks, but had not been forced open.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300005499 – Unit block of King Charles Pl – 11/10 at 5pm to 11/11 at 12pm:  A Garmin Nuvi GPS unit was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
