APD Daily Report 11/08/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 95 calls for service and arrested 12 people.

Good News – The Inifiniti reported stolen on 11/06 from the 200 block of Admiral Dr was recovered by Baltimore City Police Department later that same day. 

Suspicious Activity – 201300005410 – Unit block of Spa Rd – 11/06 at 7:30am:  A 13 year old girl was walking to school when a man in a white mid-sized SUV pulled up and spoke to her.  The man said he was to give the girl a ride to school.  The girl ran back home where the incident was reported.  The school sent home a letter to parents about this incident on 11/06. 

Burglary – 201300005422 – Unit block of East St – 11/06 from 4:35pm to 4:45pm:  After entering through an unlocked basement door an unknown suspect stole a brown purse from just inside the residence. 

Burglary – 201300005423 – 1000 block of Madison St – 11/06 from 6pm to 6:45pm:  After entering through an unlocked rear window an unknown suspect stole jewelry from an apartment.  The jewelry taken was worth approximately $3,500 and all yellow gold.

Police Activity - 201300005431 – 900 block of Breakwater Dr – 11/07 at 9am:  Annapolis Police Dispatchers received a phone call expressing concern for a subject inside a home with access to firearms.  Officers responded to the home to make contact with the occupant.  Officers opened a dialogue with the occupant and at 11:45am officers met with the subject and the incident concluded.

Armed Robbery – 201300005448 – 900 block of President St – 11/08 at 2:20am:  A cab driver picked up a fare in the 400 block of Harwood Pl and drove him to the 900 block of President St.  When they arrived the fare struck the driver in the head with a handgun and demanded money and the driver’s cell phone.  The driver complied and the suspect fled the cab.  The driver left the area and called police to report the robbery.  The driver was treated on scene for an injury above his eye.

Veterans Day
City government offices will be closed on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.
