APD Daily Report 10/14/13

In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 239 calls for service and arrested 13 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300004882 – 400 block of Halsey Rd – 10/05 at 12pm to 10/08 at 5:30pm:  A lime green Apple iPod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. 

Theft from Vehicle – 201300004926 – 1000 block of Primrose Rd – 10/10 at 8pm to 10/11 at 5am:  A red Hilti hammer drill, a Craftsman socket set, a yellow DeWalt sawzall, a Milwaukee 4.5” grinder, an orange Rigid mixing drill, and a Rigid drill/driver/charger combo set were taken from a locked truck box.  The box was in the rear bed of the truck and was pried open.

Attempted Burglary – 201300004927 – 700 block of South Cherry Grove Av – 10/11 from 6:15am to 4:30pm:  A locked garage door was forced open, but nothing was taken from inside the garage. 

Burglary and Assault – 201300004931 – 1000 block of Forest Hills Av – 10/12 at 12:41am:  The residents were asleep when they heard sounds coming from the kitchen.  The male resident went to investigate the noise and found Bladimir Garcia Flores, 31, of Annapolis in the kitchen.  The residents do not know Garcia Flores, who entered the home through an unlocked door.  Garcia Flores was intoxicated and struck the man with a chair.  After a struggle the resident was able to hold down Garcia Flores till police arrived.  The resident was injured during the struggle and was treated at Anne Arundel Medical Center and released. Garcia Flores was charged with first and second degree burglary, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and disturbing the peace.  He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $250,000 bond.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300004956 – 400 block of Severn Av – 10/12 at 5pm to 10/13 at 10:45am:  A checkbook and credit card were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

Citizen Fingerprinting
Starting November 1, 2013 citizen fingerprinting will be offered Mondays from 5pm to 8pm instead of Tuesdays.
