APD Daily Report 09/23/13

In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 282 calls for service and arrested 39 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300004566 – 1700 block of Belle Dr – 09/18 at 12:01pm to 09/21 at 1:30am:  A handgun was stolen from an apparently unlocked vehicle. 

Theft from Vehicle – 201300004569 – 1000 block of Blackwell Rd – 09/20 at 8:30pm to 09/21 at 11am:  A black bag containing a Dell Latitude laptop computer, a black Panasonic Luminex digital camera, and a Bosch laser tape measure, and two bags of clothing were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

Burglary – 201300004577 – 100 block of Silopanna Rd – 09/21 from 5:15pm to 10pm:  The kitchen door was forced open and a grey Hewlett Packard Pavilion laptop computer and jewelry were taken from the residence.

Robbery – 201300004589 – 1600 block of Forest Dr – 09/22 at 6:10pm:  An adult male was riding his bicycle on the sidewalk when Jason Edmonds, 24, of Davidsonville grabbed his bicycle and would not allow him to continue.  Edmonds punched the man in the face and took money from his pockets.  Edmonds fled when witnesses approached.  Officers located Edmonds in the area and he was identified as the suspect.  Edmonds was charged with robbery, second degree assault, and theft less than $100.  He is being held at the Jennifer Road Detention Center on $250,000 bond on those charges.  Edmonds also had a violation of probation warrant on which he is being held with no bond.

Armed Robbery – 201300004592 – 900 block of Bay Ridge Rd – 09/22 at 9pm:  A man wearing a Halloween mask and wielding a handgun demanded money from the clerks at the convenience store.  He took money from the registers and fled the store on foot.

Citizen Fingerprinting
Starting November 1, 2013 citizen fingerprinting will be offered Mondays from 5pm to 8pm instead of Tuesdays.
