APD Daily Report 09/06/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 144 calls for service and arrested 15 people.

Burglary – 201300004218 – 2000 block of West St – 09/04 at 12:03am:  The front glass door to the business was shattered and money was stolen from the cash registers.

Vehicle Tampering – 201300004236 – Unit block of Silverwood Cir – 09/03 at 12:01pm to 09/05 at 7:45am:  Someone attempted to remove the radio from an apparently unlocked vehicle.  There was damage to the radio, but nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300004248 – Unit block of Old Solomons Island Rd – 09/02 at 12:01am to 09/03 at 12:01am:  A cab meter and Motorola radio were stolen from an apparently unlocked cab.

Annapolis Police Department One Mile Challenge
The APD One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will be held on Saturday, September 7th starting at 8am.  This is a scenic 1 mile run through historic downtown.  Participants can run, jog, or walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome.  You can register at www.annapolis1mile.com

Special Olympics Maryland provides free sports training and competition programs for intellectually disabled children and adults year round.  These programs increase the participant’s social skills and self-confidence.  The programs also improve their health and well-being.  To find out more about Special Olympics Maryland go to www.somd.org.  If you can’t participate in the APD One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland please consider sponsoring someone for this worthy, very helpful cause.
