APD Daily Report 08/29/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 78 calls for service and arrested 12 people.

Burglary – 201300004078 – Unit block of Spa Rd – 08/28 from 10:30am to 4:45pm:  A window air conditioning unit was removed from a ground floor window and a 2010 Taylor acoustic six string guitar in a brown case and a cherry red Les Paul Epiphone electric guitar in a black case were stolen from the residence. 

Burglary – 201300004082 – 1100 block of Cove Rd – 08/28 from 2pm to 6pm:  A screen was removed from an open window in a ground floor apartment and money and jewelry were taken.

Robbery – 201300004091 – Forest Dr near Center St – 08/28 at 11:40pm:  Two adult males were walking on Forest Dr when they were approached by three men.  One of the men implied he had a handgun, another demanded money.  The three men assaulted the two victims with their hands and one victim was struck on the side of his face with a baseball bat.  A wallet was taken from one victim and a cell phone from the other.

The APD One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will be held on Saturday, September 7th starting at 8am.  This is a scenic 1 mile run through historic downtown.  Participants can run, jog, or walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome.  You can register at www.annapolis1mile.com
