APD Daily Report 08/09/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 87 calls for service and arrested 6 people.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003695 – 900 block of Windwhisper La – 08/07 between 7am and 7:10am:  A Booq backpack containing an Apple MacBook Pro, Verizon MiFi, a bright green leather Coach wallet, and red Beats headphones, a white Nikon J3 digital camera, money, and sunglasses were taken from an unlocked vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003719 – Unit block of Abney St – 08/08 between 8am and 2:40pm:  The passenger side window was smashed and the vehicle’s title was stolen from the glove compartment.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003722 – Unit block of Fairhope Ct – 08/06 at 5:30pm to 08/07 at 7am:  A green and black L.L. Bean backpack was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003725 – 200 block of Hilltop La – 08/08 between 4pm and 5:45pm:  A wallet was taken from an apparently unlocked vehicle.  The vehicle’s window was also left partially open.

Annapolis Police Department One Mile Challenge
The APD One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will be held on Saturday, September 7th starting at 8am.  This is a scenic 1 mile run through historic downtown.  Participants can run, jog, or walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome.  You can register at www.annapolis1mile.com

Special Olympics Maryland provides free sports training and competition programs for intellectually disabled children and adults year round.  These programs increase the participant’s social skills and self-confidence.  The programs also improve their health and well-being.  To find out more about Special Olympics Maryland go to www.somd.org.  If you can’t participate in the APD One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland please consider sponsoring someone for this worthy, very helpful cause.
