APD Daily Report 08/07/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 84 calls for service and arrested 5 people.

Burglary – 201300003678 – Unit block of West St – 08/06 at 4:45am:  At 6:30am an employee discovered the rear door to the business open and the glass in the door smashed.  Nothing in the business was out of place and nothing was taken.  The alarm to the business was activated at 4:45am, but the owner felt it was a false alarm and did not have anyone check the business.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003679 – 900 block of Van Buren St – 08/05 at 7pm to 08/06 at 6:45am:  The passenger window of the vehicle was smashed and a black bag containing a Dell laptop computer, Kodak digital camera, laser measuring device, and two moisture meters was taken from the passenger seat.

Theft from Vehicle – 201300003680 – 100 block of Duke of Gloucester St – 08/05 at 8pm to 08/06 at 7:40am:   The passenger side window of the vehicle was smashed and candy was taken. 

Annapolis Police Department One Mile Challenge
The APD One Mile Challenge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland will be held on Saturday, September 7th starting at 8am.  This is a scenic 1 mile run through historic downtown.  Participants can run, jog, or walk. Dogs and strollers are welcome.  You can register at www.annapolis1mile.com
