APD Daily Report 05/24/13
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 108 calls for service and arrested 12 people.
There are no preventable Part One offenses to report this morning. Part One offenses are those incidents we report to the MD State Police and the F.B.I. These incidents include homicides, robberies, burglaries, rapes, serious assaults, and thefts.
U.S. Naval Academy Graduation
Traffic congestion is expected in Annapolis on Friday, May 24 due to the graduation ceremony scheduled at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium at 10am. Roads affected include U.S. Route 50, Rowe Blvd, Farragut Rd, Taylor Av, Cedar Park Rd, Annapolis St, and Maryland Route 450. Other roads in the area may also be affected. Traffic congestion is expected to start at 6am to peak between 7am and 10am. There may also be congestion after 1pm when the ceremony ends.
The Annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony is scheduled for Monday, May 27 at 10am. The Parade starts at Amos Garrett Blvd and West St and travels down West St to Church Circle and then down Main St to the City Dock. The ceremony will take place at the City Dock after the parade. Road closures for the parade will start at 8am for Amos Garrett Blvd and Constitution Av, and at 9:45am all streets along the parade route. Also, City offices will be closed on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day.
