APD Daily Report 05/15/13

In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 94 calls for service and arrested 14 people.

 

Bicycle Theft – 201300002005 – West St near Calvert St – 05/03 at 6am to 05/04 at 9:30am:  A silver folding bicycle was stolen from the area near the bus stop.  The bicycle had been left secured to a tree with a cable lock.  The lock was pried off and the bicycle removed. 

Theft from Vehicle – 201300002152 – 900 block of Windwhisper La – 05/12 at 9pm to 05/13 at 2pm:  A silver Apple iPod Nano was taken from an apparently unlocked vehicle.

 

Theft – 2013000021770 – 100 block of Main St – 05/14 at 4:30pm:  A caller reported three suspicious men in a jewelry store on Main St.  As officers were responding the three men took over $10,000 worth of jewelry and fled the area.  Officers located them in a vehicle on West St.  The vehicle was stopped, the jewelry was recovered, and all three subjects were charged with theft over $10,000, theft over $1,000, theft under $1,000, and theft under $100. The men were identified as Jerome Miller, 56, Tobin Brittain, 41, and Kenneth Swinson, 48, all of Georgia.  Brittain and Miller were also charged with making a false statement to a police officer.
