APD Daily Report 05/08/13
In the last 24 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 73 calls for service and arrested 14 people.
Good News – On 05/07 officers were able to locate 85yo Melvin Colbert. Mr. Colbert was reported missing on 05/06 and last seen leaving his residence in the 1800 block of Robert Small Rd at 9am. Mr. Colbert suffers from dementia. Mr. Colbert was found by officers in the woods near Rt 665. He was suffering from his exposure to the weather and transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
There are no preventable Part One offenses to report this morning. Part One offenses are those incidents we report to the MD State Police and the F.B.I. These incidents include homicides, robberies, burglaries, rapes, serious assaults, and thefts.
Statewide Gun Turn-In Day
This Saturday, May 11th, from 10am to 2pm the Annapolis Police Department will be one of many police agencies participating in Attorney General Doug Gansler’s First Annual Statewide Gun Turn-In Day. Anyone can turn in unloaded handguns, rifles, shotguns, or air guns at 199 Taylor Av. For more information see our Facebook page or contact Sgt.
