Boat Ramps - Harbormaster's Office

There are two boat launching ramp facilities in Annapolis. On Spa Creek is the Truxtun Park boat ramp facility, and on Weems Creek is the Tucker Street boat ramp facility. Daily permits are available at the Truxtun Park launch, while annual permits are available for both facilities and may be purchased from the Annapolis Harbormaster's Office, 410-263-7973, or the Annapolis Department of Recreation and Parks, 410-263-7958. The permits are valid during the City's fiscal year from July 1 to June 30.

The Truxtun Park boat ramp features two concrete launching ramps with adjacent finger piers. The facility is open from sunrise to sunset. The daily launch-ramp fee of $8 purchases a round trip, and a parking permit to keep a vehicle and trailer in the parking lot at the top of the hill. Stored vehicles must display a launch-ramp receipt placed face up on the driver's-side dashboard. The fee is payable via Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discovery, Diner’s Club, and JCB, while cash and check is accepted by Harbormaster agents when on duty on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and holidays. For recreational users, annual permits may be purchased for $75 and they are effective May 1st through April 30th.

Please note there is an ADA parking spot adjacent to the boat ramps. There is also an ADA walkway to an ADA floating "L" dock that can be used to board boats and launch canoes and kayaks. An ADA walkway goes from the ramps to the parking areas.

The Tucker Street boat ramp features a single, stabilized, gravel ramp with no finger piers. The ramp is open during the daylight hours, however the facility is available to Annapolis Residents ONLY! Please note that this ramp is not capable of large boat use. Parking for vehicles/boat trailers is extremely limited. There are no restrooms available. Annual trailer parking permits may be purchased for $25 and they are then valid May 1st through April 30th.
