Arbor Day Event in Annapolis

Annapolis, Md. (4-1-14) –Mayor Michael Pantelides invites residents to attend the City’s annual Arbor Day celebration tomorrow.

The event, organized by the Department of Neighborhood and Environmental Programs, will be held from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2nd at the Aleph Bet Jewish Day School, located at 1125 Spa Road. The mayor and students will conclude the festivities by planting a Serviceberry tree.

Arbor Day, was first observed in 1872 with the planting of more than a million trees in Nebraska.
