Welcome to the Recreation and Parks Department for the City of Annapolis!
Annapolis Recreation and Parks enriches the quality of life for the Annapolis community by providing recreational, educational and wellness programs within facilities, parks and natural open spaces.


Summer Camp registration is ongoing and Swim Lessons at the Truxtun Park are underway!

NRPA 2015 National Park and Recreation Month logoIt's not just throwback Thursdays on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th... it's throwback July -- all month! The National Recreation and Parks Association is celebrating 30 years of National Park and Recreation Month. What were you doing for recreation and leisure in 1985? Please share on our Facebook page stories or pictures of you camping, playing sports, biking or other recreation activities back in 1985!


NEW things coming this fall! Program registration begins on Monday, August 3rd!
- bubble soccer league for adults and youth (partnership with Bubble Soccer of MD)
- boxing for adults and youth
- cardio chisel and cardio line dancing fitness classes
- rhythm movement and tumbling youth dance class led by Cheryl Mauck
- fall baseball league for youth
- holiday craft workshops for youth in October, November and December
- child care offered at Walter S. Mills-Parole Elementary with Director Jake Wechsler

The Annapolis Pickleball Club!
Pickleball is a combination of several racket sports – played on a badminton sized court with tennis net, an oversized ping pong paddle and a wiffle ball. Pickleball June 2015The sport is usually played as doubles. The Annapolis Pickleball Club plays on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8 to 11 a.m. and Tuesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. on Truxtun Park Tennis Courts #5 and #6. If you're not a "Pip" Moyer Recreation Center member, the Club asks for a one-time donation of $10 to help defer the cost of balls and nets; wooden paddles are provided for newcomers to try out the game.
