City Council

The Annapolis City Council, which consists of the Mayor and eight Aldermen and Alderwomen, meets on the second Monday of the month for its Regular Meeting at 7 p.m. and the fourth Monday of the month for its Special Meeting at 7 p.m. in City Council Chambers, City Hall, Second Floor, 160 Duke of Gloucester Street, Annapolis, Maryland, 21401.

The Regular Meeting allows the public to make petitions, reports, and other communications directly to the Council. The Council takes legislative action and holds public hearings at both meetings. As required from time to time, the Council also holds additional special meetings to consider legislative and policy matters in depth.

Additionally, the Council holds work sessions the third Thursday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in John T. Chambers City Council Chambers.

City Council Agendas are generally posted on this website about five days prior to the hearing. City Council meetings are generally televised live and re-run at a latter date.
