Historic Preservation Commission

  • COMPOSITION:
    Seven residents who have a knowledge of and a demonstrated interest in historic preservation. Term -- three years. Appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the Aldermen.
  • CITY CODE: 21.08.060
  • DUTIES:
    To  to execute all of the powers conferred to it by this Zoning Code and pursuant to the Land Use Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland as may be amended from time to time. The Commission reviews applications to construct, alter, move, demolish, or repair a structure within the historic district.
  • MEETINGS:
    Regular public hearing second Tuesday of the month. Administrative meeting fourth Thursday of the month, 7:30 p.m., Mayor John T. Chambers Council Chamber
