Fitness Center Staff
The fitness staff of the Roger W. "Pip" Moyer Community Recreation Center (PMRC) are available to help you with your fitness goals. If you have any specific questions or concerns regarding physical training or scheduling, please call 410.263.7958 and ask to speak with a Fitness Specialist. | Don Bass • NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer (National Council for Certified Personal Trainers)
• Associates Degree; Anne Arundel Community College
• Certified in CPR/AED Don has had the benefit of training in some of the most well-known brand-name fitness facilities, gaining a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience. But a local-boy at heart, Don drives his training with a desire to help the people of our community live better and healthier. Don preaches the need for sound nutrition and good eating habits as strongly as he does physical activity - and provides each of clients with a comprehensive plan for success. Don stays active with his own strength training, and a love for snowboarding. |

• Continuing Education in releasing the rotator cuff Jo lives by the philosophy that exercise is good for the mind, body and soul. Applying exercise to our everyday lives is one of the most important things we can do, and Jo employs this focus in all her training sessions. As a 4-year, NCAA-Division II student-athlete, Jo has the experience and skill to help find the inner-athlete in all of us. Jo has also played professional basketball in Germany’s Second League Women’s Division, and is a licensed massage therapist. |

• Certified in CPR/AED Jen’s areas of interest include strength building, nutrition, triathlon training, and wellness. Her aim is to help you improve your energy levels and everyday life through the strengthening and balancing of the body. Quality of life is directly linked to the health of your body, and exercise is your best tool. Jen also volunteers as a coach for the Annapolis Mighty Milers, the run coordinator for the Truxtun Youth Triathlon and lead a Youth Sport Performance and Conditioning class at PMRC last winter. |
| Brandan Norris • Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies; Salisbury University
• Degree concentration in Exercise Science/Health Education/Physical Education
• Certified in CPR/AED Brandan’s whole life has been filled with physical activity - staying active with everything from camping and hiking to swimming and biking. Brandan injects his passion for movement into his clients’ training. Brandan has experience working with a wide range of ages and fitness levels - from volunteering at the Eastern Shore Senior Games to his camp counselor work with kindergartens at the Key School in Annapolis. Brandan also coaches Cross-Country and Track & Field at the Key School, and himself ran competitive Track & Field at the NCAA-Division III level. |
| Pia Stuller  • 10 years fitness industry experience; CPR/AED certified
• Experienced in-home fitness trainer and boot camp instructor
• Trained and mentored under national level bodybuilders for past 10 years
• Earned nursing degree in Germany, specializing in geriatric care; 15 years experience with Alzheimer & cancer patients Fitness is not just a goal — it’s a lifestyle. Pia maintains a careful balance of high-intensity aerobics, cardio, weight training, and healthy food choices. Her fitness industry background, in conjunction with 15 years of nursing, has prepared Pia to train clients of all fitness levels and age groups. Having worked with many people in the medical profession, Pia knows first-hand the importance of maintaining a challenging fitness routine now and throughout one’s entire life. Pia’s motto: you’re always only one choice away from changing your life. |
