The Public Works Department offers a leaf vacuuming program for residents outside of the historic district*

Please see the schedule below which is listed by Ward location.

• Leaves should be raked to the curb in an orderly manner, trying not to block parking or pedestrian traffic areas.
• It is important to note that leaves must be raked out by the indicated date; crews will pass your area only during the collection period; if you rake your leaves out late, the City cannot come back and the leaves will remain until the next pass in your neighborhood.
• Multiple days are required to complete one pass of each area.  The crews will not pass by your house each day.  Each house receives only one pickup during each collection period.
• Crews do not work on weekends, holidays or furlough days.

*Historic District (specific areas in Ward 1):  Leaves must be bagged because narrow streets and parked cars make it difficult to collect leaves by vacuum. Please refer to your Refuse Schedule for collection dates of bagged yard debris or to determine what Ward you live in.
