Make Light of Furlough Days
Furlough Days and How to Make Light of Them
We'd like to encourage all Annapolis residents to be Green by recycling as much as possible. Be sure to recycle, but especially when furlough days affect your normal refuse days. This will cut down on items for your refuse can and help the environment!
2011 SCHEDULED FURLOUGH DAYS INCLUDE:
- Friday, September 2 (Labor Day Holiday Weekend) ~ Public Works Crews WILL be collecting trash and yard waste and our contractor will collect recycling.
- Thursday, November 10 (day before Veterans’ Day holiday)
- Friday, November 25 (day after Thanksgiving holiday)
- Friday, December 23 (Christmas holiday weekend)
On the last three furlough days, there will be no refuse or yard waste collection; however recycling pickup will occur as it is provided by a contractor and makeup days will be provided for yard waste..
