Public Works crews process Christmas trees mixed with pine wood to create pine mulch for the use of City residents. The mulch is available, free of charge on a "first-come-first-serve" and "load-it-yourself" basis at the Truxtun Park Swimming Pool Parking lot. Go to the upper section where the dumpsters are located. Pine mulch is especially helpful to azaleas and rhododendrons (acid-loving plants). More information on yard waste recycling and services.
