- COMPOSITION:
Eleven residents of the City, one from each ward and three appointed at large, who shall have a demonstrated interest or expertise in transportation, parking, or traffic. At least two of the members shall possess professional or academic training in one or more of the above listed disciplines. The directors of Transportation, Planning and Zoning, and Public Works shall be ex officio, non-voting members. The Mayor may designate additional city officials or individuals to participate in an ex officio, non-voting capacity. Term - three years. Appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the Aldermen. - CITY CODE: 2.48.320
- DUTIES:
To provide informed analysis of the facts relating to transportation matters affecting the City and all transportation matters pending before the City Council or before any City agency, board or commission; to recommend to the City Council a comprehensive transportation master plan for the City; to provide oversight, guidance, and expertise in the planning of comprehensive parking, traffic, and transit policies; to provide an annual report by February 1 reviewing the status of transportation, parking and traffic affecting the City. - MEETINGS:
