Refuse Collection

Approved Refuse Containers must be

 
  • Durable, rust-resistant, watertight containers.
  • Tight fitting lids and functional handles
  • Maximum capacity of 32-gallons or an approved trash cart with a maximum capactiy of 96 gallons.
  • Containers shall be clearly marked with minimum 3-inch high numbers indicating the address number from which material is being collected.
  • Refuse should be in plastic trash bags (with openings securely closed) placed in container.

Container Placement and Removal
  • All containers are to be set out for curbside collection by 6:00 am the day of collection, but not earlier then 6:00 pm the night before collection.
  • All containers are to be removed and stored by midnight following collection.
  • In Historic District, all containers shall be stored out of public view between collections.
  • All solid waste must be stored in approved containers at all times.
